Privacy Policy

Effective and published: August 4, 2026
Last updated: August 4, 2026

Flo’s Express Car Wash (“Flo’s,” “we,” “us,” “our”) operates a car wash at 4119 E. Compton Blvd., Compton, CA 90221 and the website at flosexpress.com. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and your choices.

We use automated license plate recognition (ALPR) at our facility. Our full ALPR Usage and Privacy Policy, published under California Civil Code sections 1798.90.5 through 1798.90.55, is available at https://flosexpress.com/alpr-policy and is posted at our facility.

Our phone line is answered by an automated AI assistant and calls are recorded with your consent. See section 5.

1. Information we collect

When you visit our website. Browser type, device and operating system, IP address, referring page, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit.

When you buy a wash, create an account, or join a membership. Name, email address, billing address, phone number, vehicle make, model, year and color, license plate number, and payment card information. Some vehicle details are captured automatically by our camera system rather than entered by you. Payment card details are collected and processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers.

When your vehicle reaches a pay station. A camera photographs your entire vehicle and part of the area around it. From that photograph the system reads your license plate and identifies your vehicle’s make, model, and color, and records the date and time of your visit. The photograph may include people and other vehicles that happen to be in the frame. We do not use these images to identify people and we do not use facial recognition. Full detail is in our ALPR policy.

When you call us. Your phone number, the content of your call, and your name if you provide it. See section 5.

When you text with us or opt in to messages. Your phone number, your consent record, and the content of messages you exchange with us.

2. How we use it

  • to process your transaction and operate your wash plan or membership
  • to identify your vehicle at the pay station and apply your plan
  • to provide customer service and resolve disputes
  • to prevent fraud and abuse of promotional, introductory, and membership offers
  • to send you service and account messages
  • to send you marketing messages, where you have opted in
  • to comply with law and respond to lawful legal process

3. How we share it

We do not sell your personal information. We do not disclose it to anyone in exchange for money or other valuable consideration.

We disclose personal information to the following service providers, for the purposes stated:

NxtWash, LLC — our point-of-sale provider. Stores and processes your account, license plate, image, and transaction data to operate our wash and membership system. NxtWash’s authorized service providers may process this data as needed to deliver that system. NxtWash may create and use de-identified, aggregated data, which cannot reasonably be used to identify you, for its own business purposes, including commercial purposes.

Rinsed, Inc. — our membership and messaging provider. Receives your account, transaction, and contact information, including your license plate, to manage memberships and send the communications described above. Under Rinsed’s terms, Rinsed and its sub-processors may use customer data to operate and improve their services, may disclose it to third-party service providers and third-party artificial intelligence tools used to deliver those services, and may use customer data to train artificial intelligence and machine learning models. Rinsed may also create and use aggregated data for its own purposes.

Washbrands, and My AI Front Desk, the platform Washbrands uses to operate our automated phone assistant. They receive your phone number, the content of your call, and your name if you give it. The assistant is not connected to our point-of-sale system and does not receive your license plate, membership, or billing information. See section 5.

Our payment provider — processes your payment card information to complete your transaction.

Business transfers. If Flo’s is sold, merged, or reorganized, or if substantially all of its assets are acquired, your information may transfer to the acquiring party as part of that transaction.

Legal process. We may disclose information in response to a subpoena, warrant, court order, or other lawful legal process, where required by law, or to investigate suspected fraud or criminal activity at our facility. We do not provide customer information to law enforcement, immigration authorities, or data brokers on a voluntary, bulk, or standing basis.

Each provider’s handling of your data is also governed by its agreement with us and its own privacy terms. We do not authorize any provider to sell your identifiable personal information.

4. Text messages

By signing up, you agree to receive text message alerts from Flo’s Express Car Wash. Consent is not required as a condition of purchase. Up to 8 messages per month. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. Messages are sent through our provider, Rinsed, on our behalf.

Our automated phone assistant may also send you a text containing a website link, but only to the number you are calling from and only after asking for and receiving your permission during the call.

5. Telephone calls

Calls to our published phone number are answered by an automated artificial intelligence assistant, not a person.

At the start of every call, before any recording begins, the assistant identifies itself as automated, explains that the call will be recorded and transcribed, and asks for your consent to continue.

If you consent, the call is recorded and transcribed to respond to your request, provide membership and customer support, maintain business records, prevent fraud, and improve service.

If you decline, the call is not recorded. You may leave a voicemail, which is recorded, or reach us through this website, by email at hello@flosexpress.com, by text, or in person at the wash.

Who handles it

Our phone assistant is provided by Washbrands and operated on the My AI Front Desk platform, which hosts and stores call audio, transcripts, and the phone number you call from. Recordings and transcripts are retained for twelve months and then deleted.

How call content is used

Call recordings, transcripts, summaries, and related call information may be used to configure, test, maintain, and improve the AI assistant assigned to Flo’s, including teaching it about our hours, wash packages, memberships, policies, and frequently asked questions, and improving the accuracy and fluency of its responses. The platform provider may use aggregated or de-identified information to analyze service performance and improve its systems, in accordance with its privacy policy.

What the assistant can and cannot do

The assistant answers questions about our location, hours, wash packages, memberships, promotions, and policies, can direct you to pages on our website, and can send you a website link by text if you give it permission. It can take a message so a Flo’s team member can call you back.

The assistant is not connected to our point-of-sale or membership system. It does not access your membership account and does not request, retrieve, verify, or read back your license plate, membership or RFID number, payment card information, billing history, or wash history. It cannot enroll you in a membership, cancel or change one, change a license plate, update billing, issue a refund, process a payment, or apply a credit. Anything involving your individual account is handled by an authorized Flo’s team member.

Please do not give a full payment card number or card security code to the assistant.

6. Cookies and website analytics

Our website uses cookies to keep the site working, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the site. We and our providers may use analytics and advertising technologies, including cookies, pixels, and similar scripts supplied by other companies, which can collect information about your visit and may recognize you across other websites as if you had visited those companies’ sites directly. Some pages may also include embedded content from other websites.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and most browsers allow you to block or delete them. Blocking some cookies may affect how the site works.

7. How long we keep your data

We keep your personal information while your account or membership is active.

After your membership is cancelled or expires, we retain your license plate, your vehicle’s make, model, and color, and a record of the memberships and promotional or introductory offers associated with that plate indefinitely, unless you ask us to delete it. We keep this to recognize a vehicle that has held a membership before, so that introductory and promotional pricing goes only to customers who have not already used it.

Your information is stored on systems operated by our service providers rather than by us, and retention for some categories is determined by those systems. Retention specific to license plate data is described in our ALPR policy at https://flosexpress.com/alpr-policy.

Call recordings and transcripts are retained for twelve months.

Deletion. You may ask us to delete your information at any time. When you do, we will process your request with our service providers and tell you what has been deleted and what, if anything, we are unable to remove or are required to keep. We may keep a minimal record that a plate was associated with a membership or used a promotional offer, solely to prevent repeat use of introductory pricing. We may also keep certain records longer where the law requires it, such as tax and accounting records.

8. Your choices and rights

You may ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you
  • correct information that is wrong, including your license plate, limited to one customer-initiated plate change per twelve months
  • delete your personal information, as described in section 7
  • stop sending you marketing messages, at any time

To make a request, contact us at hello@flosexpress.com or 424-279-1021. For your security, we may require reasonable verification of your identity before providing, correcting, or deleting information.

We will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or give you a lower level of service because you exercised these rights.

Depending on applicable law, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information.

9. Children

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Security

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including named individual user accounts, role-based access limits, encrypted transmission, and quarterly review of who has access. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach of the security of your personal information occurs, we will notify you as required by California law.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The current version is always posted at https://flosexpress.com/privacy. Material changes are reflected in the “Last updated” date at the top.
